Bargain Basement

If you have never bought anything off the internet before, it can be quite daunting, In the newspapers, and on TV we are all constantly being reminded about internet fraud, identity theft, phishing scams, and a host of other rip offs. The fact is, it's only news because it is relatively rare! If online crime were common, no-one would be buying or selling. This website clearly shows my name, full address and phone numbers, I've lived in this property for over twenty years, and I'm on the local electoral register (voting list), I don't plan to move in the near future!

If you live outside of the UK ordering of clogs from England doesn't have to be difficult, there is the problem of exchanging currency, but things have come on a long way over the past couple of years. After speaking with me and working out how much your clogs will cost, and how much  postage and packing (Shipping and Handling) will be, check a currency converter so you know what the price of your clogs will be in your local currency.

Once you know how much your clogs will cost, there are several options, by far the easiest is Paypal. I require half of the purchase price with order, I will place an advert on "Ebay" for one clog at half of the agreed purchase price and half the shipping costs on a "Buy it now" deal. You buy it and Paypal does the rest. When the clogs are ready, I contact you and repeat the advert. If for any reason you don't want to use Paypal, there are several alternatives. If you live in America and belong to the Automobile Association, call them to see if they will sell you Travellers' Cheques in pounds sterling, They not only sells them in sterling, I understand that they offer a competitive exchange rate. Other countries will no doubt have similar systems

Another suggestion would be to use an international "branch" of an English bank, such as Barclays, if one is convenient to where you live. They may do a currency conversion for you, and provide you with a cashier's cheque or money order drawn in Pounds Stir
ling.
