Log to Clog

Bargain Basement

This sole gave over 20 yrs service before splitting, the two dots you can see are tacks driven into the heel as a makers mark (Brian Rybicki) .

Re-clogging is the removal of the upper from worn, warped or split clog bottoms, then if possible I use the old bottoms as a pattern to cut new soles, I repair and refurbish the uppers and re-fit the uppers to the new soles. This is not a cheap option, as there is more work in removing  uppers, refurbishing them and fitting them to new soles than there is in making new uppers from scratch, but if you have a special pair of clogs that are past their best, this could give them a new lease of life. Warning, sometimes uppers are not reusable (The leather rots around the nails, and stitching), I will keep you informed, and suggest alternatives.

The postal service in this country is brilliant! but mistakes happen, always get proof of posting, and if they are your pride and joy I would advise recorded delivery it's not that much more expensive!
