Every time you have your clogs re-ironed, you increase the risk of the bottoms splitting, each nail hole is a weakness even if it is pegged. I have a limited number of Irons that were made in the 1970's or earlier, but these are only available to be fitted on clogs that I make. I will of course re-iron these when they wear out. The postal service in this country is brilliant! but mistakes happen, If you are sending clogs through the post, Pack Them Well, always get proof of posting, and if they are your pride and joy I would advise recorded delivery it's not that much more expensive! Hint If you are going to re-iron your clogs, stand them in a shallow tray of water or on a wet cloth the night before, the damp soles are less likely to crack, then after re-ironing, let them dry slowly somewhere cool. |
